Farming?

Was there a change to the farming rules? I saw the announcement about "static" timing for the farm click. I thought there was the "no decay" setting for crops, but I had several tiles go to "only weeds" this morning. I'm ok either way, but wanted to confirm the change since it has an impact on my approach to farming.

New farming issue: I just hit 30 farming and was using the "Harvest and replant 3x3" option. The crop yield was dramatically lower. For example: I was harvesting a pumpkin field, and the yield after planting was 3, 2, and 3. I stopped the 3x3 harvest, and harvested single tiles and got 7,6,7, 6, 7, and 7. Removing one from each to replant means the yield was 6,5,6, 5,6,and 6. This is double the harvest for the 3x3 harvest option.

Is this intentional, or is it a bug?

Harvesting is borked. I am getting about half of what I received previously on harvest. I spend approximately two hours a day farming and the reduction is very noticeable.
